How it works
Getting started
Students will need to have access to a computer, laptop, or tablet with solid high speed internet capability. Ethernet connections help, but are not crucial.
Students must also have wired earbuds or headphones. This is crucial to avoid painful feedback and echoing.

Prior to each lesson, students will receive a Zoom invitation. Zoom currently includes a lesson transcript and recording to help students practice what we work on during lessons
Optional Equipment
- External microphone - this will give the student a better quality sound. Blue Yeti is a solid affordable option. I use a Scarlett Studio mic with an audio interface.
- Open back headphones - this allows for quality audio while still being able to hear oneself. I am currently using Beyerdynamic DT 990 headphones. They are very comfortable and have good audio quality.
- Ring light - if you do not have good overhead lighting, these are available for a range of prices
Be patient
Virtual lessons are still a work in progress. It takes a little tweaking to get systems lined up, but I have been very pleased with the success of teaching voice lessons online. We can do this...together!
